A little experiment with some felt pen spots previously in my sketchbook, adding soft pastels and then black ink. I’m enjoying the way the pastels repel the ink. After some drying I added pen on the top. I’d like more texture next time I think, maybe using a sponge with the ink? Ideas for tomorrow…

Epsom Salts and Ink
Having a play with some Epsom salts, water and inks to see what happened… Well obviously the salts melted, like they are meant to! But there were some clumps left on this one, so I scraped the chunks off with a knife, which has scuffed the paper. Think I’ll add some lines over the top…

WOOOHOOO! I finally made the right white ink consistency to use with the glass ink dip pen. It’s taken a few attempts, but the Kuretake white ink mixed with a bit of water has worked.
